JSK Photography is a wedding photography studio based in California’s Central Valley, serving couples throughout California and destinations beyond.
We believe the best wedding photography starts with paying attention. To the moments everyone sees, but also the reactions happening just outside them. To the traditions that carry meaning for a family. To the people who matter most. And to knowing when a little guidance will help and when the best thing we can do is simply let a moment unfold.

Meet Jas
Lead Photographer
Long before JSK Photography, Jas was a self-described computer geek who always seemed to have a camera nearby.
Photography had been part of his life through film cameras and digital point-and-shoots, but when he wanted to invest in his first professional camera, his wife wasn’t convinced this wasn’t just another gadget obsession. Her condition was simple: take some photography classes first.
That plan changed after Jas tagged along as an assistant to a professional photographer at a wedding.
Something clicked.
In 2010, he bought his first DSLR. A few months later, his wife surprised him with a second camera for his birthday. What looked like another technology obsession turned into something considerably more lasting.
But cameras were never really what kept him interested.
It was people.
Before photography, Jas also worked in retail and loved the face-to-face interaction. Wedding photography gave him another way to connect with people while adding something he’d become fascinated by: studying faces, light, relationships and the subtle changes in expression that reveal what someone is feeling.
Years later, that’s still what keeps weddings interesting.
Meet Mandy
Mandy works behind the scenes and alongside the camera to help keep JSK moving.
She leads much of the studio’s prospective client communication, so there’s a good chance she’s one of the first people you’ll connect with when you reach out. On wedding days, she also photographs alongside Jas as a second photographer, bringing another perspective to the moments unfolding around the couple, their families and the celebration.
Jas and Mandy are also husband and wife, and years of working together have created an easy rhythm both behind the camera and throughout a wedding day. Being part of both the conversations leading up to a wedding and the photography itself gives her a unique perspective on the experience, from the first inquiry to the moments being documented on the wedding day.
What Experience Has Taught Us
Photographing weddings since 2010 doesn’t mean assuming we know exactly what’s going to happen.
It means knowing what to pay attention to.
Some of the photographs couples value most aren’t necessarily the moments anyone planned: a parent’s expression during a ceremony, a sibling watching from across the room, the few quiet seconds before an entrance or the laughter that happens after everyone thinks the portrait is finished.
Experience helps us anticipate those moments without trying to manufacture them.
It has also taught us that weddings move. Timelines shift. Families need another minute. Ceremonies run longer than expected. Weather changes plans.
So most of the time, you’ll find us observing, anticipating and documenting without inserting ourselves into what’s happening. When direction helps, we’ll give it. When family portraits need organization, we’ll organize them. When plans shift, we’ll adapt. And when something meaningful is unfolding naturally, we know enough to leave it alone.
Our job isn’t to make your wedding conform to the photography.
It’s to know how to adapt while continuing to tell the story well.
Still Looking for Something New
Jas has photographed hundreds of venues, but familiarity doesn’t mean repeating the same photographs.
We scout locations because every wedding deserves to be approached on its own terms. Even at venues we’ve photographed before, we’ll look again at the light, surroundings, architecture and possibilities.
That same curiosity travels with us for destination weddings. Whenever possible, we arrive ahead of the first event to scout and understand the environment before coverage begins.
The goal isn’t to recreate a photograph we’ve made before.
It’s to find the photographs that belong to this couple, this place and this celebration.
