It was hard enough to narrow down images from their photoshoots to feature on our Instagram and it was proving even more difficult to hand pick a few images from their engagement party. There was so much inspiration to share that we had to blog it. Everything was exquisite, from the color scheme of the decor that Sai Decor executed so beautifully, to the bridesmaids and groomsmen boxes laid out on wedding party tables, to the sweet delights on the dessert table, to the gorgeous look of the bride-to-be, elegantly pulled together by HMbyHarpreet.

Love is Sweet, So Take a Treat
The engagement party was eventful and brought together the eastern and western cultures that define the couples of today. Jessy and Nav started the event by exchanging their rings. Nav was a super gentlemen, he said some beautiful words, got on a knee and put a ring on it 🙂
After the ring exchange, the bride’s family comes up to give the groom their blessings. In older days the bride and groom weren’t really brought together for any events till the wedding day, so the father’s blessings were the formal commitment. This in some sense was the engagement party once upon a time.
Then finally another Punjabi tradition of the chunni ceremony. This is where the groom’s family presents the bride with the bridal veil, jewelry and other accessories as a token for the wedding ceremony to come.
No party is complete without dancing, Fusion Roadshow had the floor lit the entire night! Here’s just a glimpse of the night through our lens.
