Photo booths are fun and everyone loves fun photos of themselves! Your photographer can’t go around and get every individual who attends the party. This gives the guest a great memento. Plus, it’s suitable for all ages, from the young to the well matured. 🙂

Here are some questions you should ask the photo booth vendor, before you hire their services. Like any wedding vendor, do your homework first. Check out the website and learn about the vendor and a lot of these questions may already be answered on their website.

To get an accurate quote, be ready to share your dates, location/venue. Plus, be proactive and provide the following information as these are some of the questions they’ll want to know so they can help you better.

Questions a photo booth company may ask:

What time does your event start and what time would you like to start the photo booth?

How many hours of service will you need?

Will this take place indoors or outdoors?

Is there an electrical outlet nearby?

The Questions for you to ask

Is my date available?
Sounds silly but this is the first thing you should ask; several folks do forget to ask and start asking for pricing first. If they are not available there is no point in continuing.

What packages do you offer? How do I know what package to choose?

How many hours of actual “live” photo booth time are included in your pricing?
The package pricing provided should mention this, but be sure to ask if it doesn’t.

What is your hourly overtime rate?
In case your event programming runs late and the booth doesn’t open till later or your guest are enjoying the booth so much, you want them to stay longer.

Will an attendant be present at the booth?
Some aunties and uncles won’t know what to do, it’s nice to have someone from the photo booth company present.

What do your props look like?

What style of photo booth do you have? Is it an “open air booth”, pipe and drape or homemade booth?
Do your homework beforehand for this one to see what style you like. Does this vendor even offer it? Once you know what style you like, you’ll be able to choose the package more easily.

 What type of camera and printer do you use?

Is there an online gallery?

Does your photo booth have the ability to send users digital prints?

How many people can you fit in your photo booth?
Knowing the different styles will help answer this question too.

Is the delivery, set up and break down part of the price?

What do I need to provide for the event?

How long does it take to set up?

Have you been at my venue before? Do you know where to set up and how much space you need?

Is there a limit to how many photos I can take?

How many prints will the guests receive?

Will I get digital copies of all of the photos taken at the event? If so, does it include the customized template, single shot of each picture, or both?

What can & can’t I add to my template? What are my template choices?

Do you provide a memory book/guestbook?

How large are the prints?
